Arts & Crafts offers special workshop day

To celebrate March as National Craft Month, the Arts & Crafts Center has planned a “workshop extravaganza” for Saturday, 9 a.m. ““ 5 p.m. They are offering crafts for all ages, plus giveaways and refreshments.

The Arts & Crafts Center is located in Building 52008, Arizona Street.

DL schedules bowling tournaments

Desert Lanes will host the “King of the Hill” Tournament Saturday, starting at 1 p.m. The tournament is open to everyone. Cost is $45 per person, plus a $5 participation fee for bowlers who don’t have a U.S. Bowling Congress card.

April 7, Desert Lanes will hold a mixed doubles tournament starting at noon. The tournament is open to all adult bowlers. Cost is $20 per person, plus a $5 participation fee for bowlers who don’t have a USBC card.

Enjoy ‘March Madness’ at RAN

The next Right Arm Night, “March Madness,” will start at 4 p.m. March 30 at Thunder Mountain Activity Centre.

RAN is free and open to everyone, including Soldiers, civilians, retirees and family members, 18 and older.

19th Hole offers lunch specials

The 19th Hole Clubhouse at Mountain View Golf Course is offering “March Madness” lunch specials daily through March 31. Everyone is invited to enjoy lunch and “March Madness” basketball during their golf break.

Vendors needed for Festival of SW

Vendor applications are now available for the 2012 Festival of the Southwest, to be held April 20 ““ 22 at Veterans’ Memorial Park, Fry Boulevard, Sierra Vista.

TMAC plans Easter Brunch Buffet

Everyone is invited to the Thunder Mountain Activity Centre’s all-you-can-eat Easter Brunch Buffet, April 8 from 10 a.m. ““ 2 p.m. Cost, with gratuity included, is $25 for adults; $12.50 for children 5 to 11; and children 4 and under dine for free.

The buffet will feature several gourmet entrees, assorted fresh fruit, seafood, salads, a selection of breakfast specialties, vegetables, potatoes, rolls and muffins, pasta and cheeses, plus the dessert buffet featuring the chocolate fountain.

Attend NBA games with Outdoor Rec

The Outdoor Recreation Program has scheduled the following Phoenix Suns NBA Basketball game trips: April 7, Suns versus the L.A. Lakers, cost $55; and April 21, Suns versus the Denver Nuggets, cost $35.

Cost includes ticket and transportation for only the first 11 tickets sold per game. Outdoor Rec. also has ticket vouchers available to purchase for any other Suns’ game.

Celebrate the Military Child with MWR

The “Month of the Military Child” celebration is set for April 14, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Thunder Mountain Activity Centre. There will be family oriented activities, including games, jumping castles, paintball, giveaways, information booths, free lunch, popcorn, cotton candy, Barney’s Backyard Barnyard Petting Zoo, “Mrs. B’s Storytime” and more.
