Position and duties: Test officer in C4 Network Test Directorate, Network Systems Integration Division. Manages multiple test projects and activities:SR Hawk ground surveillance radar, Wind turbine study, NIE 12.2 configuration control, Renewable energy

How long at current assignment: 22.5 years with EPG

Residence: Sierra Vista

Family: Wife, Dana, nurse; Son, Adam, Army Green Beret in training; and son, Spencer, junior at University of Arizona

Hobbies: paintball, poker, chess, golf, mountain biking and fishing

Significant accomplishments: caught Pacific blue marlin off the Kona Coast in Hawaii

Advice: “Be patient, maintain tension, and don’t let the line bind in the reel.”

Remarks: “Being a parent is such a tremendous responsibility. I have two sons, and the importance of being responsible is what I’ve tried to instill in them.

This is what I told my boys before they left home: “The path your life takes is no accident. It’s based on decisions you make. Learn to make good decisions, because there are consequences, good or bad, to every decision. As an adult, those consequences are yours to deal with, not anybody else’s.”
