Soldiers collect, donate ton of food

2nd Lt. Johnathan McKinney

On Friday, Sgt. Johnathan Whitworth pulls a tub of food into the Fort Huachuca Food Locker as (front to back) Pfc. Matthew Walker, Spc. Anthony Harrington and Spc. Lyle Drones from Company A, 40th Expeditionary Signal Battalion, push from the rear. Company A Soldiers collected 2,037 pounds of food during a three-week food drive to benefit the Fort Huachuca Food Locker. This represents a total of about 11 pounds collected for each of the company’s 180-plus Soldiers and “an unprecedented contribution in the food locker’s history, which spans nearly a decade.”
