April’s RAN features ‘bike night’

“Bike Night” is the theme of the next Right Arm Night, starting at 4 p.m. Friday at the pavilion at Thunder Mountain Activity Centre. A live band will provide music, there will be bike contests with prizes, and sponsors will provide giveaways. Free finger foods and a pay-as-you-go bar will be available.

RAN is free and open to everyone, including Soldiers, civilians, retirees and family members 18 and older.

Don’t miss ‘I Take This Man,’ live at Murr CC

FMWR, along with the Illegitimate Theater Company of Sierra Vista, will present “I Take This Man,” a comedy in three acts, live on stage at Murr Community Center.

Evening performances are set for Friday and Saturday, and May 4 and 5 at 7 p.m. Matinees will be presented Sunday and May 6 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased in advance at Murr or at the door.

Free movie will be shown Saturday

FMWR will present a free Moonlight Movie, “Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol,” Saturday at Warrior/Sentinel Field. Gates will open at 7 p.m., and the movie will start at dusk.

Free popcorn, hot dogs, water and soft drinks will be provided while supplies last. In case of inclement weather, the movie will be shown at Eifler Fitness Center.

Salsa night coming to TMAC

Thunder Mountain Activity Centre will host “Salsa Night” May 4. Free salsa lessons will be given by Ximena Aponte, 8 – 9 p.m., and from 9 p.m. – 2 a.m., enjoy music by DJ Quechevere.

Admission is free, but people must be 21 or older to attend. A pay-as-you-go bar will be available.

Register for pistol excellence match

The 2012 Fort Huachuca Pistol Excellence Match is set for May 19 at Range 13. An organizational meeting will be conducted May 5, 10 a.m. at Range 13.

MVGC offers golf special for moms

Celebrate Mother’s Day May 11, 12 and 13 at Mountain View Golf Course with the Mom and Me Golf Event. The cost is $25 for mother and child, and includes golf fees for 9 holes, rental club fees (if needed), range balls, cart fee and lunch.

Take mom bowling on Mother’s Day

May 13 is Mother’s Day. From noon to 4 p.m., Desert Lanes will offer $1 games and free shoe rental to all moms.

Register for indoor triathlon

Sports, Fitness and Aquatics will host the “1st Time Tri” Indoor triathlon May 19 beginning at 8 a.m. at Barnes Field House. The triathlon is open to all levels and will consist of swim in the indoor pool, spin bike and run on the track. Entrants can register at BFH or Eifler Fitness Center. Entry deadline is May 15. Race day registrations will not be accepted.
