God is a God of heavenly armies. I believe Soldiers have a special place in God’s heart. According to the scripture, the first step to being successful is entering into a holy covenant with God.
A covenant is a religious term for contract. We enter into covenants or contracts when we buy things such as cars, homes, or begin marriages; and for the believer this involves a covenant of making God your God. To these, God commands, “Be strong and courageous.†Second, God reminds them “Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you … †According to this principle, success involves obeying God’s commands.
Believers are to follow all God’s commands, teachings, and instructions in godly living. God wants His people to read and follow His instructions in order to receive outstanding success. Part of this involves receiving teaching as a group such as in a place of worship. God wants His people to contemplate His teachings so that we might understand Him better. He wants His instructions obeyed so that they will benefit you and keep you from harm and the pitfalls that can potentially lead to ruin.
Is one ever going to be perfect? No. There is only One perfect and so when we sin, we ought to ask God’s forgiveness and make good effort to turn from our mistakes so as not to offend God. My prayer is that your time spent at Fort Huachuca goes well and that you continue to practice your religious freedoms as the early American did both during the good times and the bad. Continue to pray for the Fort Huachuca family both here and abroad that they may be strong and courageous and execute their duties obtaining tremendous success. “Have I not commanded you?
