Chalk Talk May 10, 2012

Submitted by Jill Peterson

General Myer Elementary School

The students in Mr. Wolfe’s third grade class have been busy preparing for fourth grade. With great excitement, they have been awaiting the hatching of a dozen eggs. Unfortunately, only one hatched but it turned out to be worth the wait. The class named the chick Peaches and have been amazed at how fast it is growing and that it can take care of itself.

All of the students have been working on their multiplication facts, and three students have memorized all of the tables through the 12s. Congratulations to Robert Sangvic, Braden Fisher, and Matteo Incorvaia for being the first to master that skill.

Mr. Wolfe’s class also has four students that made the “A” Honor Roll the entire year. They are Jack Faulkner, Braden Fisher, Camden Miller and Robert Sangvic. They will be honored at the third grade ice-cream-and-cake banquet before the end of the year.

The class is looking forward to next week when they will be launching Alka-Seltzer rockets as they wind up a study of space. They also had a bike safety rodeo Tuesday which was kicked off by Detective Jeremy Wolfe from the Sierra Vista Police Department, a close relative to Mr. Wolfe. Then, on Friday, all of the third graders are having a science and summer safety day.

Mr. Wolfe thanks all of the parents for their help and support throughout the year and the students in his class for making this another successful school year. Have a safe and relaxing summer!
