Register youth for summer activities

Registration for the SKIESUnlimited “Exploring Summer Fun” programs is going on now for all classes.

Classes include: horse camp, arts and crafts camps, piano camp, learn-to-swim, a babysitter course, including first aid and CPR, learn to sew, gymnastics camp, cheerleading camp, plus academic classes such as creative writing, college prep writing, and more.

Don’t miss Right Arm Night

The next Right Arm Night will start at 4 p.m. Friday at Thunder Mountain Activity Centre. Free finger foods and a pay-as-you-go bar will be available.

RAN is free and open to Soldiers, civilians, retirees and family members 18 and older. For more information, call 533.5642 or 678.4446.

 

FMWR will offer free services

Saturday, FMWR facilities will observe Armed Forces Day by offering free services to all active duty and retired military at the following: Mountain View Golf Course (533.7088), Buffalo Corral (533.5220), Desert Lanes (533.2849), Jeannie’s Diner (533.5759), the Sportsman’s Center (533.7085), The RAP (335.3058 or 335.3209) and the Arts & Crafts Center (533.2015 or 533.5550).

All free services will be limited to available time and space, so reservations are recommended. For more information, call the individual facilities.

 

Saturday is free movie night!

FMWR will present a free Moonlight Movie, “War Horse,” Saturday at Warrior/Sentinel Field.

Gates will open at 7 p.m., and the movie will start at dusk. Free popcorn, hot dogs, water and soft drinks will be provided, while supplies last.

In case of inclement weather, the movie will be shown at Eifler Fitness Center.

 

Mystery Run to be held May 26

The Strong B.A.N.D.S. 10K Mystery Run will be held May 26, 7 a.m. at Barnes Field House.

Registration forms can be picked-up at Barnes Field House and Eifler Fitness Center. Runners can also register at www.active.com. The entry deadline is Wednesday.

Get set for wrestling action!

International Championship Wrestling will return to Fort Huachuca June 9 starting at 7 p.m. at Eifler Fitness Center. There is no charge, and the public is invited. The card will feature seven matches, including a ladies’ match.

Salt River tubing trip offered

Outdoor Recreation has planned tubing trips to the Lower Salt River on the following dates: June 23, July 14 and Aug. 25. Trips leave at 7 a.m. and return at 7 p.m.

Cost is $40 for tubing, with $25 paid at the time of registration and $15 paid in cash at the float house for the tube and bus rides to drop-off/pickup sites.

Ladies’ golf league begins at MVGC

Mountain View Golf Course will host Women’s Social Golf each Tuesday starting at 10 a.m. through June 26.

The cost is $20 per session and includes nine holes of golf, cart, rental clubs and lunch.
