General Myer Elementary School

Students and staff at General Myer Elementary School are ending the year on a great note. As the year comes to a close, we are celebrating students’ accomplishments and talents.

Our last Accelerated Reading Auction of the year was a success. Students involved in the Myer Eagle Reading Club had been reading books and testing their knowledge by taking quizzes based on what they’ve read. These students earned points which were then exchanged for dollars to be spent on rewards during the auction.

Fourth and fifth grade students who have been on the Principal’s Honor Roll or the Honor Roll three out of the four grading quarters were invited to celebrate their accomplishments at an honors banquet.

Students showcased their talent at the band concert on Friday and at the talent show on Monday.

The end of the year assembly was held this morning. At this assembly, school officials recognized students who had perfect and excellent attendance, who made a great deal of personal growth over the year, and students who have made the Honor Roll and Principal’s Honor Roll. Students also received awards from the physical education and art teachers at the assembly.
