About a dozen Soldiers report back for duty with the 2-13th Aviation Regiment at Fort Huachuca on Friday. After the formalities ended, the Soldiers were reunited with members of their families who were patiently standing by.

A small unit of the 2nd-13th Aviation Regiment, based out of Fort Huachuca’s Black Tower, returned to their families on Friday following a year-long deployment.
Members of the Quick Reaction Capability QRC team were formally welcomed home and reunited with families and friends at Hangar 1, Libby Army Airfield.
The QRC departed Fort Huachuca on June 12, 2011 to support reconnaissance operations in Afghanistan. They were attached to the 160th Special Operation Aviation Regiment (Airborne) while assigned in the Middle East. Each member of the team is a fully qualified Gray Eagle unmanned aircraft system operator or maintainer.
A QRC team deploys annually in support of an ongoing mission in Afghanistan.
Family and friends were on standby at the hangar when the Soldiers returned. After members of the QRC formally reported back for duty with their unit, the Soldiers were reunited with their loved ones.
Spouses and friends made Friday’s homecoming special for the returning Soldiers with personal touches such as this banner hung inside Hangar 1 at Libby Army Airfield.
