First-class music, comedy at TMAC Saturday

Thunder Mountain Activity Centre will host the “Laughter, Love and Fiddle Concert” Saturday with doors opening at 7 p.m.

Award-winning country artist, singer, songwriter and fiddle player Natalie Stovall, along with nationally-known comedian Paul Varghese, will perform on stage beginning at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $4 in advance at Murr Community Center, Jeannie’s Diner and TMAC, or $5 at the door.

Corral schedules Father’s Day ride

Buffalo Corral Horseback Riding Stables has scheduled a Father’s Day Trail Ride June 17, 10 a.m. – noon. Dads ride for half price, $8.50, that day!

MVGC offers ‘Dad and Me’ golf event

Celebrate Father’s Day Sunday at Mountain View Golf Course with the Dad and Me Golf Event. Play nine holes of golf and enjoy lunch after the round.

The cost is $25 for dad and child. It includes golf fees, rental clubs if needed, range balls, cart fee and lunch. For more information, call 533.7088.

 

Salt River tubing trip offered

Outdoor Recreation has planned tubing trips to the Lower Salt River on the following dates: June 23, July 14 and Aug. 25. Trips leave at 7 a.m. and return at 7 p.m.

Cost is $40 for tubing, with $25 paid at the time of registration and $15 paid in cash at the float house for the tube and bus rides to drop-off/pickup sites.

Register youth for summer activities

Registration for the SKIESUnlimited “Exploring Summer Fun” programs continues for all classes.

Classes include: horse camp, arts and crafts camps, piano camp, learn-to-swim, a babysitter course, including first aid and CPR, learn to sew, gymnastics camp, cheerleading camp, plus academic classes such as creative writing, college prep writing and examining literature through film.

Ladies’ golf league continues at MVGC

Mountain View Golf Course is hosting Women’s Social Golf each Tuesday starting at 10 a.m. through June 26.

These golf sessions are open to all women who are interested in learning the basic fundamentals of golf and playing in a non-competitive, social environment.

The cost is $20 per session and includes nine holes of golf, cart, rental clubs and lunch.

Irwin pool to host free movie

FMWR will preset a free Moonlight Movie “Alvin & the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked,” June 23 at Irwin Pool. The movie will start at dusk.

Free popcorn, hot dogs, water, and soft drinks will be provided, while supplies last.
