The Eagles tribute band here Friday

Scout Reports

HOTEL CALIFORNIA “A Salute to the Eagles” was founded with the intent of filling the void left by the demise of The Eagles in 1982. By blending their vocal and musical talents, HOTEL CALIFORNIA faithfully and accurately reproduces the sound of the Eagles studio recordings while recreating a classic sound which transcends the boundaries of Rock, R&B, and Country while delivering a modern, action packed performance that brings this timeless music into the new millennium, according to their website, http://www.hotelcal.com/.

This band, comprised of five music industry professionals, presents a dynamic show saluting the music of The Eagles, a supergroup whose music has proven to have a staying power that few bands lay claim to. Finally, audiences can once again experience the energy and magic of this timeless music.

The group performs 150 – 200 high profile events every year, including special corporate functions, charity benefits, fund raisers, outdoor concerts, festivals, and fairs, playing main stages receiving top billing as a national act, as well as opening for some of the most prominent names in the entertainment industry.

Each concert presents a showcase of The Eagles mega-hits such as “Take it Easy,” “Heartache Tonight,” and “Hotel California” as well as newer releases “Get Over It” and “Love will Keep Us Alive.” The group also performs select titles from the solo works of Don Henley, Glen Frey, and Joe Walsh.

This timeless music appeals to audiences of all ages, bringing back memories of a past era. Join them on a trip down a dark desert highway, feel the cool wind in your hair, and experience the Grammy Award winning sounds that defined a generation.

The Eagles perform Friday night, 7 p.m., on Fort Huachuca’s Bujalski Field, next to Barnes Field House.

It is the concluding event of the celebration of the Military Intelligence Corps’ 25th/50th anniversaries.

“We have wanted to bring this group to Fort Huachuca for a while, said James Thomas, special events coordinator and logistics contract officer with the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation which is hosting the event.

“This is one of the best tribute bands in the United States. They are awesome. They have played at Vegas and Disneyland. This will be a good show for Soldiers and their Families,” he said, adding that the gold and silver Military Intelligence anniversaries celebration was a good opportunity to bring them here.

The public is invited to attend this free event. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
