Public invited to UFC match

Murr Community Center invites everyone to come and watch the Ultimate Fighting Championship match, Silva vs. Sonnen, Saturday. Doors open at 3 p.m.

TMAC will host Zumba party/Latin night

Thunder Mountain Activity Centre will host a “Zumba Party” followed by Latin Night, July 13.

From 7 – 9 p.m., take free Zumba lessons given by Ximena Aponte. Win prizes.

From 9 p.m. – 2 a.m., enjoy music by DJ Saul Caraballo.

Admission is $5 at the door, and attendees must be 18 or older. A pay-as-you-go bar will be available.

Paintball tournament set for July 14

The Sportsman’s Center has scheduled a 3-on-3 paintball tournament for July 14. The captain’s meeting will be held at 9 a.m., and the tournament will start at 9:30 a.m.

The tournament is open to everyone, and teams may include a 4th person on their rosters. Entry fee is $50 per person and includes field fees and all day air.

Win prizes at Desert Lanes

Now through July 31, all bowlers at Desert Lanes are eligible to enter the Summer Bowling Contest for a chance to win a Kindle® or a bowling ball. Cost is $2 per entry, and winners will be determined by total scores.

Salt River tubing trip offered

Outdoor Recreation has planned tubing trips to the Lower Salt River on the following dates: July 14 and Aug. 25. Trips leave at 7 a.m. and return at 7 p.m.

Cost is $40 for tubing, with $25 paid at the time of registration and $15 paid in cash at the float house for the tube and bus rides to drop-off/pickup sites.

MCT auditions set for July 16

Auditions will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre production of “The Secret Garden” July 16 starting at 9 a.m. in the Col. Johnston Elementary School cafeteria.

Students from 1st through 8th grades should sign up now to audition. Children must first be registered with Child, Youth and School Services.

The MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week. More than 50 local students will be cast in the production which will be presented on July 21, 7 p.m., also in the Johnston Elementary School cafeteria.

Free movie set for July 21

Family and MWR will present a free Moonlight Movie “Underworld: Awakening” July 21 at Warrior/Sentinel Field. The movie will start at dusk.

Free popcorn, hot dogs, water and soft drinks will be provided, while supplies last.

Don’t miss next Right Arm Night

The next Right Arm Night will feature a “Party on the Patio” starting at 4 p.m. July 27 at Thunder Mountain Activity Centre.

Outdoor games will be played, contests held, and prizes will be awarded.

As always, RAN is free and open to the entire Fort Huachuca community 18 and older. Free food and a pay-as-you-go bar will be available.
