MCT performance sent for Saturday

The Missoula Children’s Theatre production of “The Secret Garden” will be presented Saturday, 7 p.m. at the Johnston Elementary School Cafeteria.

More than 50 local students will perform in the production, which is free and open to the public.

Free movie will return Saturday

FMWR will present a free Moonlight Movie, “Underworld: Awakening,” Saturday at Warrior/Sentinel Field. The movie will start at dusk.

Free popcorn, hot dogs, water and soft drinks will be provided, while supplies last.

In case of inclement weather, the movie will be shown at Eifler Fitness Center.

 

Win prizes at Desert Lanes

Through July 31, all bowlers at Desert Lanes are eligible to enter the Summer Bowling Contest for a chance to win a Kindle® or a bowling ball. Cost is $2 per entry, and winners will be determined by total scores.

Salt River tubing trip offered

Outdoor Recreation has planned tubing trips to the Lower Salt River on Aug. 25. The group leaves at 7 a.m. and returns at 7 p.m.

Cost is $40 for tubing, with $25 paid at the time of registration and $15 paid in cash at the float house for the tube and bus rides to drop-off/pickup sites.

Don’t miss next Right Arm Night

The next Right Arm Night will feature a “Party on the Patio” starting at 4 p.m. July 27 at Thunder Mountain Activity Centre.

As always, RAN is free and open to the entire Fort Huachuca community 18 and older. Free food and a pay-as-you-go bar will be available.

U of A Football returns to Fort Huachuca

The University of Arizona Wildcat Football Team will hold pre-season practice Aug.8 – 12 at Warrior/Sentinel Field near Eifler Fitness Center. The practices are free and open to the public. Specific times will be announced as soon as they are available.

Register now for indoor triathlon

Sports, Fitness and Aquatics will host the “1st Time Tri” #2 indoor triathlon Aug. 4 beginning at 7 a.m. at Barnes Field House. The triathlon is open to all levels and will consist of swim in the indoor pool, spin bike and run on the track.

Entrants can register at BFH or Eifler Fitness Center. Entry deadline, limited to the first 72 entrants, is July 31. Race day registrations will not be accepted.
