SVPL patrons are invited to visit Café Sierra

Debra Chatham, Library Specialist
Sierra Vista Public Library

The rumors are true! Due to popular demand, Café Sierra, located inside the Sierra Vista Public Library, is once again serving their grilled Panini on Tuesdays through Fridays, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Panini means ‘little breads,’ and one sandwich is a Panino while two or more are Panini. Call Café Sierra, 458.2929, to find out which Panini are being served that day. Fall’s cooler weather means the return of hot soup to Café Sierra.

The coffee shop continues to offer fresh-brewed Brews Brother Coffee — roasted locally! Those who love their fresh brewed coffee so much that they continually take advantage of their 50-cent refills might want to consider participating in their weekly drawing for a chance to win a bag of Brews Brothers Coffee.

Those who prefer a fancier cup of Joe or other hot beverage can indulge in lattes, cappuccinos, mochas, hot chocolate, Chai and other teas. Gluten-free brownies and quiche are also available, along with low-acid brews to help those with sensitive stomachs.

Need something cooler? Café Sierra offers a selection of gourmet iced beverages including Italian sodas, cremosas, lattes and smoothies. People who enjoy trying their specialty drinks on regular basis should be sure to get their loyalty card punched to earn a free beverage. Don’t forget to save room for indulging in the selection of cakes, cheesecakes, cookies, biscotti, scones, cinnamon rolls and other treats, many of which are baked fresh daily.

Café Sierra is one of many local businesses that enjoy being involved with the community, so parent-teacher organizations, youth groups, sports teams or other similar groups looking for fundraising opportunities are invited to stop in and see what Café Sierra has to offer.

The entire library is also a WiFi hotspot, so bring a laptop, download an eBook from the library’s collection, and enjoy grilled Panino and fresh brewed coffee anywhere in the library, including the cafe’s own seating area or outdoors at the courtyard tables and benches.

Café Sierra is located in the lobby of the Sierra Vista Public Library, 2600 E Tacoma St., and is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., closed Sundays and Mondays. They can be reached by phone at 458.2929 or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/CafeSierraFeaturingBrewsBrothersCoffee.
