Halloween party set for Saturday at Murr

Murr Community Center and Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers will host a Halloween party and costume contest for those 18 and older, Saturday, from 10 p.m. – 2 a.m. A live DJ will play music. Finger foods and a pay-as-you-go bar will be available.

SKIES to offer new classes for youth

Beginning in November, Child, Youth and School Services’ SKIESUnlimited Program will offer several new classes, including college/high school prep writing; computer; gymnastics; musical theatre; piano lessons; drama; cooking; karate, tae kwon do; arts and crafts; and dance, including African style, hip hop, jazz/tap, ballet/tap, contemporary/lyrical, and dance technique and stretching classes.

Participants must be registered with CYSS.

Parent Central Services is located in Building 52111.

Get tickets for ‘Arsenic and Old Lace’

FMWR, along with the Illegitimate Theater Company of Sierra Vista will present, by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., a stage and screen classic, Joseph Kesselring’s “Arsenic and Old Lace,” live on stage at Murr Community Center.

Evening performances are set for Nov. 2, 3, 9 and 10 at 7 p.m. Sunday matinees will be presented Nov. 4 and 11 at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased in advance at Murr or at the door.

Turkey Bowl coming soon

The annual “Turkey Bowl” football game is set for Nov. 16, 2:30 p.m. at Warrior/Sentinel Field. The 11th Signal will take on the 111th MI in exciting gridiron action.

Admission is free, but everyone is asked to bring a non-perishable food item to help replenish the Chaplain’s Food Locker.

Right Arm Night will follow Turkey Bowl

Don’t miss the next Right Arm Night following the Turkey Bowl Nov. 16 at Warrior/Sentinel Field.

RAN is free and open to Soldiers, civilians, retirees and Family members 18 and older. There will be prizes, free finger foods and a pay-as-you-go bar.

RAP announces winter hours

During the winter months, the Recreational Adventure Park, or RAP, is open Monday – Friday from 4 – 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from noon – 5 p.m.

The RAP offers batting cages and paintball fields, plus equipment rental for both activities. The facility is located off Hatfield Street, across from the Mini Mall at Pauley Field.

Enjoy TMAC’s lunch buffet

Everyone is invited to enjoy lunch at Thunder Mountain Activity Centre, now served Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

TMAC offers the lunch buffet for $8.95 for adults or $4.50 for children 5 – 11. All buffets include salad bar, desserts, rolls and a non-alcoholic beverage.

SAC has openings for After-School Care

The School-Age Center, located at Building 52056, has several openings in their after-school care program. The program is open to 1st through 5th grade children of military personnel, Department of Defense civilians and contractors.
