Company honoring military in several ways

Shutterfly

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Shutterfly, Inc., a leading Internet-based social expression and personal publishing service, recently announced the launch of its Thank the Troops campaign to honor service men and woman who serve our nation. Through the Shutterfly Thank the Troops Facebook app, Americans can create a free Shutterfly card of thanks for military service members serving overseas and veterans in VA hospitals this holiday season. Shutterfly is partnering with A Million Thanks non-profit organization, to build a sense of community with a goal to distribute over 1,000,000 Shutterfly cards of appreciation to active military and veterans. Additionally, the company will sponsor the “My Army Life in Photos” contest and give free photo books to the military community during the month of November.

My Army Life in Photos Contest

To further honor military Families, Shutterfly and the U.S. Army’s Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation office, invite Army Families to participate in the “My Army Life in Photos” contest. Through the Shutterfly sponsored contest, participants can upload their photos and tell the stories of their lives in the military over the past years in photos. To enter the contest, go to www.armymwr.com/photocontest.

Celebrate Veteran’s day by sending a free thank you card

Along with partners, Chase and Verizon, Shutterfly hopes to get a thank you card into the hands of every military service member and veteran in a VA hospital this holiday season. Sending a free card is easy. Americans can access the Facebook app, select a card, add a personal message or photo, click send, and share the card to their Facebook feed and inspire friends to create their own card. Shutterfly will take care of the printing and delivery. The completed cards will be distributed to troops and veterans with the help from A Million Thanks organization, an organization dedicated to thanking U.S. Military Men and Women for their sacrifices, dedication and service to our country.
