Veterans remembered, celebrated in Sierra Vista on Monday

Tom Sickels, retired Navy (left), and Leo Pimple, retired Army, talk after the Veterans Day parade while waiting for the ceremony to begin at Veterans’ Memorial Park on Monday. “It is important just to remind the veterans that the country appreciates what they are doing, what they have done in the past and lets the kids know our history,” Sickels said.

Members from all branches of service gathered at Veterans’ Memorial Park Monday after the parade ended. The different services were all represented in the parade.
