General Myer Elementary School

At the end of each quarter of the school year, the staff of General Myer Elementary School likes to celebrate the students for their achievements. On Nov. 6, the school concluded the end of the first quarter with its first Character Counts assembly. Mrs. Camps, school counselor, taught the character traits of Trustworthiness and Respect. Each teacher chose students from each class who stood out the most per trait.

The school staff also likes to celebrate students with academic achievements. Teachers chose a student who stood out academically in each class. These students were not necessarily Honor Roll students, but a student who worked hard in all subjects. In addition to the Academic Award, we acknowledged those students on the Honor Roll and the Principal’s Honor Roll. Honor Roll students made As and Bs and the Principal’s Honor Roll students made straight As.
