Final 2012 Scout publishes Dec. 20, holiday photos sought

Joan Vasey
Scout Editor

The last Scout for 2012 will be published on Dec. 20 and will suspend publication during the weeks of Christmas and New Year’s Day.

The staff plans to run a special holiday photo section in the year’s final issue and seeks photo submissions from the Fort Huachuca community with a deadline of noon, Monday, Dec. 17. They can showcase office holiday parties, door decorating contests, holiday donations, special unit and school events, decorated homes or any other holiday activity members of the Fort Huachuca community would like to share. Include information about the activity, describing the who, what, when, where, why and how, about the action taking place in the photo. Also include the photographer’s name so the Scout staff can credit the photographer.

The best photos to submit are candid, un-posed shots. If five or fewer people, identify them, including rank, first name and unit of Soldiers pictured. List the ages of youth 16 or younger.

Files submitted should be in JPEG format in the highest resolution possible. Email them to joan.vasey1@us.army.mil. Include a daytime phone number so the staff can contact you, if necessary.

Those with questions should call 533.1987.
