RAD slated for January, skills credentialing pilot underway

Retiree Appreciation Day planned
The annual Retiree Appreciation Day for 2013 is scheduled for Jan. 12. Registration and social hour will begin at 8:30 a.m. The event will run from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. A lunch buffet will be served from noon – 1 p.m. at a cost of $13 per person. Seating is limited for this event, so please RSVP as soon as possible. As always, the RAD is open to retirees from all branches of the armed forces. Those who did not receive an invitation can download and print a copy from the Fort Huachuca Retiree Council Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Fort-Huachuca-Retiree-Council/357858980975547.

Retirement Services Office
The installation Retirement Services Officer, or RSO, is the source for information for retiring and retired Soldiers, their Families and surviving spouses. Before retirement, go to your RSO for your pre-retirement and Survivor Benefit Plan briefing. After retirement, go to your RSO for assistance and for special program items such as the installation retiree council, the annual Retiree Appreciation Day and installation retiree newsletter.

The Retirement Services Office is located in Building 41330, Room 4, Whitside Hall. The Retirement Services Office provides information and assistance on matters pertaining to retired personnel. Write or call for an appointment to visit the RSO, prior to coming in. Hours of operation are Monday through Wednesday and Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and Thursday, 12:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. They are closed for lunch from 11:30 – 12:30 p.m. and are closed on federal holidays.
