Chalk Talk – February 8, 2013

General Myer Elementary School

Physical education teacher and coach, Mr. Vaznonis, is proud to announce that the students who participate in the voluntary Myer School Running Club have achieved over 3,000 miles. These students have run the equivalent of crossing the United States and are now on their way back. Congratulations to the students and staff for an outstanding performance and job well done.

In Ms. Brady’s Art class, third graders are learning how to overlap figures in order to show objects near and far. They are creating near-and-far fish pictures.

Fourth graders are finishing their three-dimensional drawing unit and are creating a book using of all their drawing lessons.

They are currently learning how to make a 3-D hand project.

Fifth graders are learning about Vincent Van Gogh and are recreating his “Starry Night” painting.
