Firefighter training underway Small fires being lit on FH roadway corridor

The fire department is conducting wildland firefighting certification training through June 7.

As part of the training, firefighters will ignite small spot fires along the grass corridor between Squire and Railroad Avenues. The vegetation is very low and between two barriers. The flame and smoke level will also be minimal.

Each training session will last about one hour each day.
