See ‘The Sunshine Boys’ live at Murr

Family and MWR, along with the Illegitimate Theater Company of Sierra Vista will present Neil Simon’s “The Sunshine Boys,” a comedy in two acts, live on stage at Murr Community Center.

Evening performances are set for 7 p.m. today and Saturday. A matinee will be presented at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets are $16 and can be purchased at the door. For more information, call 533-2404.

Fall bazaar set for this weekend

Murr Community Center will host their “fall bazaar” 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The event is open to the public and admission is free. Items such as knit and hand-sewn apparel, candles, fragrances, wood crafts and much more will be available.

Basketball coaches’ meeting set

The coaches’ meeting for the 2013 Intramural Basketball Program will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Barnes Field House. Letters of intent are due at that time. The program will begin Nov. 12 at Barnes Field House.

Register to win a dirt bike

Family and MWR and Sierra Cycles want to help put a “toy under the tree” by giving away a 2013 Kawasaki KLX 140 ADF Dirt Bike (Valued at $2999) Dec. 14 at the N.O.E.L. holiday event.

Authorized MWR patrons over 18 years of age will have the opportunity to register for a chance to win the dirt bike at several upcoming events, including Right Arm Night, Oct. 18 at Thunder Mountain Activity Centre plus several more upcoming events, and a “traveling registration” box which will move between various MWR facilities. In addition, patrons can also register at Sierra Cycles, Sierra Vista.

MWR Rents adds Saturday hours

MWR Rents has announced new hours of operation. In order to accommodate the needs of their customers, the facility has added off-duty hours.

They are now open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday- Friday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.

October’s RAN set for 18th

The October Right Arm Night will be held at Thunder Mountain Activity Centre at 4 p.m. Oct. 18. The theme for the night will be Minute-To-Win-It Game Night.

As always, Right Arm Night is free and open to everyone, including Soldiers, Civilians, Retirees and Family Members age 18 and older. Free finger foods and a pay-as-you-go bar will be available, contests will be held and prizes will be given.

Celebrate Halloween with MWR

Family and MWR will celebrate Halloween 6-9 p.m. Oct. 25 and 26 with various free children’s activities. For older kids and adults, the haunted house will be open 6-10 p.m. and spooky “haunted hay rides” 7-10 p.m. All activities will be held at Wren Arena and are free to all. Directional signs will be posted to the arena.

LT Dan Band coming to Ft. Huachuca

For the past decade, Gary Sinise & the LT Dan Band have brought their explosive live shows to our nation’s service members and their families. The LT Dan Band travels to cities and military bases around the world playing benefit concerts and boosting the morale of our military and first responders.

On Nov. 3, the band will take center stage at Warrior/Sentinel Field, performing a free concert for all MWR patrons and their guests. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the show will start at 2 p.m. Don’t miss the chance to see the band live for the first time on Fort Huachuca.
