SR 92 safety improvement underway

Construction of raised medians to enhance left-turn safety on State Route 92 between Canyon de Flores and Glenn Road is now underway. Work will progress northward from Glenn Road to Canyon de Flores, with a raised median that includes breaks at Monsanto Drive and East Golden Acres Drive.

Expect lane closures, restricted left turns and reduced speeds of 45 mph in the construction area. Lane closures will remain in effect throughout the project, slated for completion in December.

Arizona Department of Transportation is nearing completion on two projects designed to provide a safer alternative to drivers making U-turns around the median. Those projects are a turnaround off Glenn Road and the connection of Canyon de Flores with East Golden Acres Drive, with a roundabout where the streets meet.
