Chalk Talk

Colonel Johnston Elementary School

The children in Claire Clemente’s second grade class at Colonel Johnston Elementary School are studying the systems of the body and how they interact. Students are learning about the skeletal, digestive, muscular, circulatory and nervous systems. They are using scientific methods in hands-on lab sessions to further their understanding of each one.

In math the children are learning about graphs, measurement and geometrical shapes.

General Myer Elementary School

General Myer Elementary School is holding a Book Fair Monday – Feb. 7, 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. in their library. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the books.

The school will also host Family Night on Thursday from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. The events will include a science exhibit, the book fair, and a choir performance at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend, see the students’ work on display throughout the school and have fun with their Family and others.
