All fifth grade classes from the school participated.

Susan Ford’s third grade class made Valentine projects, boxes that are 12 inches or less in height, width and depth. They voted on the most creative, prettiest, coolest, neatest, best overall, most unusual and most “Valentiney.”

Last week Mindy Lee’s third grade class conducted experiments in order to find out which substance, salt, sugar or Borax, produced the largest crystals. Students grew crystals on pipe cleaners in the shape of a heart for Valentine’s Day. In addition, the students spent two weeks writing hand-made valentine cards to each classmate.

Lee’s class is focusing on “kindness” this year and the “Radically Kind” award last week went to Owynn Jenkins, 9.
