‘Magic the Gathering’ event scheduled
Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers, or BOSS, and Murr Community Center will host the Arizona Magic Invitational “Magic The Gathering” qualifying event tomorrow starting at 10 a.m.
Entry fee is $20 for active duty or $25 for all others. Prizes will be awarded based on the number of people who attend.

Right Arm Night — don’t miss out
The next Right Arm Night is set to start at 4 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Thunder Mountain Activity Centre. Enjoy free finger foods, a pay-as-you-go bar, and win prizes in several contests.

CDC offers evening child care
New Beginnings Child Development Center will offer “Parents Night Out,” March 1, from 6 – 10 p.m. Reservations will be taken until Feb. 26.
Cost is $16 per child. Children must be registered with Child, Youth and School Services.

College rodeo set to return to FH
March 1 and 2, FMWR, the Sierra Vista Riding Club and Cochise College will host the Cochise College Rodeo at Fort Huachuca’s Wren Arena.
Gates open at noon, and the rodeo starts at 1 p.m. both days. Sunday, cowboy church will start at 10 a.m., and Exceptional Rodeo will start at 10:30 a.m.
The rodeo is open to the public and will feature saddle and bareback bronc riding, steer wrestling, tie down roping, team roping, bull riding, barrel racing, breakaway roping and goat tying. Children of all ages can enjoy Barney’s Backyard Barnyard Free Petting Zoo from noon – 3 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
Active duty military and children 5 and under will be admitted free. Advance tickets for the general public are on sale now for $7 at Murr Community Center, Fort Huachuca; Buffalo Wild Wings, Sierra Vista; and at Cochise College, Sierra Vista and Douglas campuses. Tickets will be $8 at the gate.

Murr plans Mardi Gras Zumba party
Murr Community Center will host a Mardi Gras Zumba Party March 15, 8 a.m. – noon. Everyone is invited to join them for Zumba Gold from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. and Zumba from 10 – 11 a.m., with instructor Ximena Aponte.
Visit the health and fitness vendors, enjoy light refreshments will be provided, and win giveaways, including prizes, for the best costume. Cost is $10 per person.

Thunder Mountain Activity Centre personnel invite everyone to join them for their lunch buffet, now served Tuesdays through Fridays 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Cost is $8.95 for adults or $4.50 for children 5 – 11. All buffets include salad bar, desserts, rolls and a non-alcoholic beverage.
