‘Friday Night Magic’ set for March 14

Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers, or BOSS, will present “Friday Night Magic” Game Night March 14 from 6 – 10 p.m. at Murr Community Center.

Murr plans Mardi Gras Zumba party

Murr Community Center will host a Mardi Gras Zumba Party March 15, 8 a.m. – noon. Everyone is invited to join them for Zumba Gold from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. and Zumba from 10 – 11 a.m., with instructor Ximena Aponte.

Visit the health and fitness vendors, enjoy light refreshments, and win giveaways, including prizes, for the best costume. Cost is $10 per person.

Vendors are also needed. Cost is $20 per table. Anyone who is interested can call Murr at 533.2404 for more information.

CYSS holds youth soccer registration

Child, Youth and School Services Youth Sports and Fitness Program has announced registration for Spring Youth Soccer through March 31 for youth 4 – 12.

Cost is $40, and a full CYSS registration and current sports physical are required to participate in this program.

All practices/games will be conducted on the fields located on H Avenue (across from Colonel Johnston Elementary School). Practices will start on/about April 7, and the season will end on/about June 7.

Register for ARC Lifeguard Class

Sports, Fitness and Aquatics will host an American Red Cross Lifeguard Class from March 17 – 20 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Barnes Pool, with makeup day set for March 21 from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Cost for the class is $60 per applicant, plus $35 for an ARC Card for those who pass. Participants must attend all sessions.

Dine at TMAC for lunch

Thunder Mountain Activity Centre personnel invite everyone to join them for their lunch buffet, now served Tuesdays through Fridays 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Cost is $8.95 for adults or $4.50 for children 5 – 11. All buffets include salad bar, desserts, rolls and a non-alcoholic beverage.

CDC offers evening child care April 5

New Beginnings Child Development Center will offer “Parents Night Out” April 5, 6 – 10 p.m. Reservations will be taken Monday – April 5.

A charges of $16 per child applies. Children must be registered with Child, Youth and School Services.

Right Arm Night — don’t miss out

The next Right Arm Night is set to start at 4 p.m. March 28 at Thunder Mountain Activity Centre. Enjoy free finger foods, a pay-as-you-go bar, and win prizes in several contests.

Right Arm Night is free and open to those 18 and older, including service members, Civilians, retirees and Family members.

SFA schedules 5k walk/run

As part of the ongoing Community Health Promotion Council Family Fitness Series, the Sports, Fitness and Aquatics branch will present a 5K walk/run March 29 beginning at 8 a.m. at the Grierson Pool parking area.

This free event is open to everyone. Participants may pre-register at Barnes Field House, Eifler Fitness Center, or register on-site the day of the event.

Youth classes available at SKIES

Child, Youth and School Services SKIESUnlimited Program personnel offer several youth classes, including computer, gymnastics, piano lessons, cooking, karate, tae kwon do and dance.
