If you are getting déjà vu from purple toilets sitting in yards around the fort, don’t be alarmed — it’s that time of year again. For the second year, Fort Huachuca senior leaders are showing their support by participating in the American Cancer Society “Flush Away Cancer” campaign by moving a purple commode from yard to yard each day. Command Sgt. Maj. James Ramsey, garrison command sergeant major, was the first to host the commode March 14, and according to the “plumbing guidelines”, he relocated the toilet to the lawn of Col. Dan McFarland, Fort Huachuca garrison commander (pictured), that same day. So when you see the brightly colored yard décor, spread the word and raise awareness!
