Civilian of the Month: Doug Jefferson

Agency: United States Army Electronic Proving Ground

Position and duties: Operational test officer, responsible for the planning and coordination of test events that are operationally realistic

How long at current assignment: Since November 2004

How long in government service: 11 years active duty, 20 years in service

Residence: Hereford

Family: Family is mainly in California and Pennsylvania

Hobbies: “I like to work on old cars and do shooting sports such as trap/skeet.”

Accomplishments: “Best work I ever did was when I worked for Joint Task Force Six as a counter drug analyst. I worked directly with FBI, Drug Enforcement Administration, Customs and Border Patrol. I helped take down bad guys and I’m pretty proud of that.” This happened while Jefferson was assigned in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Advice: “Do what’s right and everything else will fall into place.”
