General Myer Elementary School
Lorraine Draeger’s 4th grade class has already begun to learn about tools, skills and methods scientists use. They will be doing an experiment on which paper towel is the most absorbent. They will be following the proper steps to conducting an experiment.
In social studies, the curriculum is all about Arizona’s history and geography. The students have read and are writing about the book, “Hatchet.” They will be entering an art creation in the Cochise County Fair which takes place in Douglas next month. All students seem eager and ready to learn.
Art students at General Myer Elementary School will learn about the styles and elements of art this year through various projects. Students worked on non-objective art first, inspired by the works of the artist Kandinsky. They are presently learning about Picasso and the Cubist style of art. They seem excited to work creatively and collaboratively this school year.
