Reading to babies is vital to brain development

One of my earliest memories is of my mother reading to my brother, sister and me. She would read to us before naptime, and the whole Family gathered together before bed to listen to a story. I loved this time and taught myself to read by memorizing the words she spoke and matching them to what was on the page.

Fort Huachuca, Sierra Vista celebrate 4th of July in patriotic style

The City of Sierra Vista and Sierra Vista Rotary Club presented the 47th Annual 4th of July Celebration at Veterans’ Memorial Park the evening of July 3 and all day on the 4th. Fort Huachuca, a partner, offered military displays, mounted cavalry, music and a guest speaker.
