Breakfast on the Run

The Tierra Vista staff wants residents to start their day with breakfast April 27. They will be at the entrance and exit areas of Pacific Crest, Pacific Heights and Fort MacArthur starting at 6:30 a.m. For more information, call (310) 241-6184.

 

Office closed

The Tierra Vista Community Management Office will be closed April 27 for a Community Day. In case of maintenance emergency, call (310) 241-6194.

 

Fitness Fair

The Los Angeles Air Force Base Fitness Center is hosting a Health and Fitness Fair May 16 in the Fitness Center. There will be a 5K fun run, as well as booths, giveaways, information and vendors on hand.  For more information, call (310) 653-6771.

 

Pool opening

The pool at Fort MacArthur will open May 25.

 

U Got Talent

Youth Programs is sponsoring U Got Talent 7 p.m., May 24. Registration deadline is May 18. Everyone is invited to watch or participate. There are performance categories for all ages and abilities. Top rated performers will have the opportunity to have their performance recorded and submitted at the national level.  For more information, call (310) 653-8383.

 

Spring Carnival

The CDC Spring Carnival is 2:30-5:30 p.m., April 26. Children are encouraged to wear a costume for the parade through the courtyard, 2:30-3 p.m. The carnival is at the CDC.  For more information, call (310) 653-6800.

 

Free postage

Thanks to donations, the Los Angeles Air Force Base Spousesí Club is offering free postage on packages to deployed service members.

Bring your UPSP flat rate boxes (small, medium or large), along with completed customs forms to: The Club Lobby, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., April 17; and the Fort MacArthur Post Office, 9:30 a.m., April 18.  There is a three-box maximum per addressee.
