“We have an unknown distance to run, an unknown river to explore. What falls there are, we know not; what rocks beset the channel, we know not; what walls ride over the river, we know not. Ah, well! We may conjecture many things.”
~ John Wesley Powell
Fear of the unknown: it can stop us in our tracks, paralyze our every move and even prevent us from making decisions. Whether it be the battlefield or the home front, we cannot keep deferring decisions infinitely down the road. It is often said, “I do not know what the future holds, but I know WHO holds the future.” Being afraid is not a sin; but the Bible teaches us that worry is. With God in our lives, faith can overcome all fears!
