Blue Cross Blue Shield Q&A

Lose weight

Spring Fest

Police, fire games

The 2012 Arizona Police and Fire Games are coming to Tucson April 11 to 14. Events include CrossFit, flag football, basketball, powerlifting, rifle marksmanship and more. All law enforcement, fire and military active-duty, Guard and Reserve members are invited to attend. Dependents, parents and siblings may also participate. The cost is $55 per person. Women’s History Month luncheon

Volunteer recognition

A volunteer recognition ceremony is 10 a.m. April 12 at Club Five Six to honor volunteers and recognize the impact of their service. Luke Air Force Base organizations that rely on volunteers are asked to submit nominations no later than March 19 to 56fss.fsfr@luke.af.mil for the following categories: military, nonmilitary, military retiree and youth. Reduced switchboard services

Due to reduction in funding and manning, the Air Education Training Command Consolidated Telephone Operations in San Antonio is reducing switchboard services. Effective Sunday, the CTO will not be manned between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m. That means there will be no live operators during this time period. Manned telephone switchboard operation services will be phased out completely by end of fiscal 2012. For more information, call 56th Communications Squadron at (623) 856-7299.

Log pro banquet

Days of Remembrance event

The 2012 Days of Remembrance is April 19 with events scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Stories of rescue presented by guest speakers and book signings will be 9:15 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Club Five Six and 1:40 to 3:30 p.m. at the Luke Chapel Annex.
