Chaplain thoughts – April 13, 2012

Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Theodore Wilson, 56th Fighter Wing Chapel

“Don’t you want to know who you are? Don’t ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you.”  ~ Thomas Jefferson

As people of faith, I would argue that faith must be put into action or it is not really faith. An old song tells us that faith without action “is about as useless as a screen door on a submarine.” The book of James tells us, “faith without works is dead.” Many Airmen I speak with want to know who they are; that they need to find themselves. Instead of asking, start acting. Just be the person God wants you to be, and let your action — as defined by your faith in Him — be what defines you as a person.

Blessings from Above …
