The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents April 13 through 19:

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for 10 moving and one nonmoving violations.

 

Traffic-related incidents

April 13: Security forces initiated a traffic stop at Bldg. 495. A license check revealed a warrant for theft in Texas. The incident was turned over to security forces investigation.

April 13: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident involving two government-owned vehicles at Bldg. 304. There were no injuries.

April 15: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Bldg. 1550. There were no injuries.

April 16: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Bldg. 325. There were no injuries.

April 18: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at South Gate. There were no injuries.

April 18: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Bldg. 1124. There were no injuries.

 

Emergency responses

April 13: Security forces responded to a report of a medical emergency at Bldg. 1150. The individual was transported to West Valley Hospital.

April 15: Security forces responded to a 911 hang-up from Bldg. 1525. Patrols responded and conducted a sweep with negative findings.

April 15: Security forces responded to a report of dangerous weapon discharge. Patrols responded and briefed the individual on the base policy for use of weapons on base.

April 15: Security forces responded to a report of gunshots fired near Ocotillo Gate in housing. A be-on-the-lookout was initiated, patrols conducted sector sweeps and door-to-door welfare checks were conducted with negative findings.

April 15: Security forces responded to a report of gunshots fired in housing. Patrols arrived after the suspect had already fled the scene and the installation. Glendale police detained the suspect off base and returned the individual to the installation.

 

Nonemergency responses

April 13: Security forces responded to a noise complaint in housing. Patrols responded and briefed an individual on base quiet hours.

April 15: Security forces responded to a report of five suspicious individuals hanging out in the rear parking lot of Bldg. 1540. Patrols responded and briefed their sponsor on proper escort procedures.

April 15: Security forces responded to for a report of theft of private property in Bldg. 687.

April 16: Security forces responded to a report of a gate runner at Lightning Gate. Patrols made contact and briefed the individual on proper installation access procedures.

April 17: Security forces responded to a report of an individual causing a disturbance at Lightning Gate. Patrols responded and escorted the individual off the installation.

April 17: Security forces responded to a report of a gate runner at Ocotillo Gate. Patrols made contact and briefed the individual on proper installation access procedures.

April 19: Security forces responded to a warrant hit at Bldg. 897. Tolleson police responded and assumed control.

 

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to three alarm activations on base.
