Commander’s comments: “Andrew’s confidence, great attitude, exceptional work ethic and desire to make his team better is what set him apart from his peers,” said Lt. Col. Jim Upchurch, 56th AMXS commander. “He consistently goes the extra mile striving for additional responsibility and is never afraid to step out of his comfort zone. Andrew was selected to brief several distinguished visitors on aircraft maintenance unit and F-16 maintenance operations. He was named the 56th Maintenance Group Maintenance Professional of the Year in the Airman category and is currently performing duties of a technical sergeant in the pod shop. He has a very bright future.”
