Utah

An Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon, assigned to the 388th Fighter Wing, crashed at the Utah Test and Training Range at approximately 8:35 a.m. May 4. At the time of the accident, there was one person on board. The pilot successfully ejected and was evaluated by medical personnel.

Colorado

The Air Force brought home a team-record 18 medals April 30 through May 5 during the 3rd annual Warrior Games here. The team medaled in volleyball and wheelchair basketball for the first time. Athletes representing the Air Force earned two silver and one gold medal in swimming, two silver and one bronze in cycling; and two gold, three silver and four bronze in track and field.

Kyrgyzstan

Members of the 22nd Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron here reached a milestone of 25,000 air refueling missions May 4. During the past year, 22nd EARS sortie support has grown 23 percent, allowing them to quickly eclipse the 25,000th mission mark.

Laos

Thirty American military members, along with partners from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and the U.S. Embassy, treated more than 3,650 patients, renovated five health clinics and schools, and shared medical and engineering expertise with each other during Operation Pacific Angel-Laos here, April 23 through 28.
