“Show me your hands. Do they have scars from giving? Show me your feet. Are they wounded in service? Show me your heart. Have you left a place for divine love?” ~ Fulton J. Sheen

We all learned (or were at least taught) as kids that, “it’s better to give than receive.” As parents, are we modeling this for our children? As officers and NCOs, are we modeling this for our Airmen? As Airmen, are we putting our words into action by helping our fellow Airmen? Too often we become so self-engrossed we forget those around us may be in a greater need than ourselves. Let God’s divine love have a place in your heart and then share that love with others that He brings into your life.

Blessings from Above …

In bookstores: ‘When in Doubt’ My female hormones sometimes hijack my body. On one such occasion, I decided to read “When in Doubt, Add Butter” by Beth Harbison. CONS: Who we are, what we do

When people ask me what my job is in the Air Force, I tell them contracting. The typical response is, “You’re a contractor?” Then, I have to explain that I am not a contractor but actually an active-duty Air Force officer who has been given the authority to spend taxpayer dollars in order to keep...

Motivation: Starts with a goal

Last week when I visited family in California, my father mentioned to a family friend that I was in the Air Force. After exchanging pleasantries, he asked me how long I had been in the military, and I said, “Nine and a half years.” He fired back to me with a question that I hadn’t...
