The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents May 4 through 10:

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for eight moving and one nonmoving violations.

 

Traffic Related Incidents: 

May 9: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Bldg. 1540. There were no injuries.

 

Emergency Responses:

May 7: Security forces responded to a report of a 911 call received from an individual in housing who reported individuals were breaking into his residence and stealing his food.

May 7: Security forces responded to a report of a medical emergency in housing. Individual was transported to Del Webb Hospital.

May 9: Security forces responded to a report of a suspicious package at Bldg. 1124. Patrols responded with an Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit, set up a cordon and cleared the area. Package was cleared by EOD.

May 9: Security forces responded to a report of a 911 call received from an individual in housing who reported individuals were coming in and out of his residence and had locked him out of his bedroom.

 

Non-Emergency Responses: 

May 5: Security forces responded to a warrant hit at South Gate. Individual was denied entry and escorted off the installation.

May 6: Security forces responded to a report of shoplifting involving a juvenile at Bldg. 1540. Glendale police assumed control.

May 7: Security forces responded to a report of vandalism to private property at Bldg. 997. Incident was turned over to 56th SFS Office of Investigations.

May 7: Security forces responded to a report of damage to private property at Bldg. 820.

May 7: Security forces responded to a report of a suspicious individual sleeping in the lobby at Bldg. 660. Individual was escorted back to his room.

May 9: Security forces responded to report of individuals smoking spice in housing. Patrols responded with Glendale police. Two civilians were issued immediate debarment orders and escorted off the installation.

May 9: Security forces responded to a report of shots fired at off-base housing. Maricopa police conducted a sweep of the area with negative findings.

 

Alarm Activations

Security forces responded to four alarm activations on base.

Summer is approaching. Remember to practice safe swimming habits. Practice “touch supervision” by keeping children within arm’s reach at all times. Enroll your child in swimming lessons. Never swim alone, even good swimmers need a wingman.
