Street Beat May 24, 2012

The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents May 11 through 17:

 

Tickets

Security Forces issued citations for four moving and two nonmoving violations.

 

Traffic related incidents

May 11: Security forces responded to a report of report of a minor vehicle accident at Bldg. 1130. There were no injuries.

May 15: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Bldg. 1150. There were no injuries.

 

Emergency responses

May 12: Security forces responded to a report of a 911 call received from an individual in housing who reported individuals were breaking into his residence and locked him out of his bedroom.

May 13: Security forces responded to a report of a medical emergency in housing. Individual was transported to Saint Joseph’s Hospital.

May 15: Security forces responded to a report of a 911 hang-up in housing. Patrols conducted a search of the area with negative findings.

May 16: Security forces responded to a report of suspicious package at Bldg. 1550. Cordon was established and affected buildings were evacuated. An explosive ordnance disposal unit took control of the situation.

May 17: Security forces responded to a report of medical emergency at Bldg. 1550. Individual was transported to Del Webb Hospital.

 

Non-emergency responses

May 11: Security forces responded to a report of damage to private property at Bldg. 904.

May 12: Security forces responded to a report of an assault in housing. One individual was charged with Article #128 and another was arrested by Glendale police.

May 14: Security forces responded to a report of a self-turn in for an Article 85/Deserter at South Gate. Individual was issued a provisional pass, released on his own recognizance and instructed to report to Fort Huachuca, Ariz.

May 15: Security forces responded to a report of theft of private property at Bldg. 323. Incident was turned over to Security Forces Investigations.

May 15: Security forces responded to a report of damage to private property at Bldg. 1550.

May 15: Security forces responded to a report of a loud noise complaint in housing. Patrols briefed individual on base quiet hours.

May 16: Security Forces reported with Glendale police to housing for a health and welfare check.

 

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to a report of one alarm activation on base.

 

Tip of the week

It is illegal to use radar detectors on a military installation. Make sure they are off or unplugged prior to entering the installation.
