The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents May 24 through 31.

 

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for four moving and one nonmoving violations.

 

Traffic-related incidents:

May 29: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Bldg. 1137. There were no injuries.

May 29: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Bldg. 940. There were no injuries.

May 27: Security forces responded to a report of a major vehicle accident in housing. Patrols responded and medical treated an individual for minor injuries. An active-duty member was charged with Article 111, drunk or reckless operation of a vehicle, Article 134, fleeing the scene and Article 108, damage to military property.

 

Emergency responses

May 28: Security forces responded to a report of possible domestic disturbance in housing. The first sergeant assumed control.

May 29: Security forces and firefighters responded to a report of fire in Bldg. 1550. Patrols provided traffic control. There were no injuries.

May 30: Security forces responded to a 911 hang-up in Bldg. 687 and made contact with an individual who stated it was a misdial.

 

Nonemergency responses

May 26: Security forces responded to a noise complaint in housing. Patrols responded and briefed an individual on base quiet hours.

May 27: Security forces responded to a noise complaint in housing. Patrols responded and briefed an individual on base quiet hours.

May 27: Security forces responded to a report of an active-duty member in housing who was charged with Article 134, being drunk and disorderly.

 

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to two alarm activations on base.

 

Tip of the week

One of the best defenses against a drunk driver is to wear a safety belt. Ensure that children or other passengers are fastened in as well.
