Justice Report June 15, 2012

The following is a list of justice and administrative actions issued at Luke Air Force Base in May.
 

Courts-Martial

A senior airman was found guilty of Article 111, driving while drunk. The member received a sentence of confinement for 10 days, reduction to E-2, forfeiture of $1,114 and restriction to base for 20 days.
 

56th Maintenance Group

Article 15s

A master sergeant received an Article 15 for drunk and disorderly conduct, resisting apprehension, assault consummated by battery and driving while drunk. The member received a reduction to E-6, forfeiture of $1,748 a month for two months and 15 days extra duty.

A senior airman received an Article 15 for failure to obey a lawful order, violation of a military protective order. The member received a suspended reduction to E-3, 21 days extra duty and a reprimand.

A senior airman received an Article 15 for dereliction of duty, failing to follow proper technical orders. The member received a reduction to E-3, suspended forfeiture of $934 a month for two months, 15 days extra duty and a reprimand.

An airman first class received an Article 15 for dereliction of duty, failing to follow proper technical orders. The member received a reduction to E-2, suspended forfeiture of $835 a month for two months, 15 days extra duty and a reprimand.

An airman received an Article 15 for disorderly conduct. The member received a reduction to E-1, suspended forfeiture of $378 a month for two months, restriction to base for 30 days and a reprimand.

 

56th Operations Group

Article 15s

A senior airman received an Article 15 for dereliction of duty. The member received a reduction to E-3, suspended forfeiture of $990 a month for two months, seven days extra duty and a reprimand.

An airman first class received an Article 15 for failure to go and dereliction of duty. The member received a suspended reduction to E-2, 21 days extra duty and a reprimand.

 

56th Medical Group

Administrative demotions

An airman first class was demoted to airman after three fitness failures.

 

56th Mission Support Group

Article 15s

A senior airman received an Article 15 for failure to go. The member received a suspended reduction to E-3, suspended forfeiture of $990 a month for two months, 10 days extra duty and a reprimand.

 

Article 15 punishments for similar offenses may vary from case to case based on the circumstances of the offense and such factors as an offender’s age, military and disciplinary record, financial condition and suitability for continued service. Administrative demotions are based on the member’s entire military record and ability to overcome their deficiencies. To ensure fair administration of justice throughout the Luke community, the legal office reviews all cases.
