Firecracker 5k Fun Run

The Firecracker 5k Fun Run is 6:30 a.m. July 6 at the 944th Fighter Wing, Bldg. 988 on Super Sabre Street. There will be prizes, refreshments and snacks. For more information, call (623) 856-6241.

 

Fourth of July golf

The Fourth of July golf tournament is a four-player scramble format and begins with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start Wednesday at Falcon Dunes Golf Course. The cost is $30 per club member, $35 per nonmember and $40 per guest. For more information, call (623) 535-9334. 

 

Youth soccer camp

A youth soccer camp is July 9 through 13 for youth program members. Classes for youth, ages 8 to 12, is 9 a.m. to noon and ages 13 to 18 is 1 to 4 p.m. Sign up at the Luke Air Force Base Youth Center. For more information, call (623) 856-6225.

 

Scuba diving classes

Two-day scuba diving classes will be held July 14 and 15, and Sept. 1 and 2 at Silver Wings Pool. The cost is $99 and includes all instruction materials and equipment. For more information or to sign up, call (623) 856-7120. 

 

Youth dance class

A youth dance class teaching hip-hop, stepping and the latest in fitness trends is 1 to 4 p.m. July 23 through 27 for youth program members ages 9 to 15 at the youth center. The cost is $10 a person. The class is limited to 24 participants. For more information, call (623) 856-7470.
