Chaplain thoughts – July 6, 2012

Chaplain (Maj.) Scott Jobe
56th Fighter Wing deputy chaplain

I’ve missed over 9,000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. I’ve been trusted to take the game-winning shot 26 times … and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”   ~ Michael Jordon

As leaders we need to communicate and foster a community in which it is okay to fail.  As many successful people can tell you, they had to fail many times before they could learn to succeed. God uses imperfect people to do His perfect will. The key is to learn from our mistakes and failures in life and never give up on the goal we are trying to achieve.

Blessings from above …

Inescapable poverty changes the way we think about money and time, as short-term concerns glare so blindly that it’s almost...
