Changes of command

56th LRS

Lt. Col. Michael Davis, 56th Logistics Readiness Squadron commander, will relinquish command to Lt. Col. Erin Cluff at 8 a.m. today in Bldg. 291.

56th SFS

Maj. Gerald Mulhollen, 56th Security Forces Squadron commander, will relinquish command to Maj. Sean Gibbs at 2 p.m. today in Club Five Six.

56th MSG

Col. Philippe Darcy, 56th Mission Support Group commander, will relinquish command to Col. Nathan Mooney at 8 a.m. Monday in Hangar 913.

56th MXG

Col. Deborah Liddick, 56th Maintenance Group commander, will relinquish command to Col. Victor Mora at 8 a.m. Tuesday in Hangar 913.

56th TRS

Lt. Col. Charles DeLapp, 56th Training Squadron commander, will relinquish command to Lt. Col. Matthew Liljenstolpe at 8 a.m. July 13 in Hangar 1022.

 

LeaveWeb migration

The LeaveWeb server at Luke Air Force Base is scheduled for migration at 9:30 a.m. EST July 10. The migration will move each base’s local LeaveWeb server to a centralized server located at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. This will make it easier to transfer users from base to base when making a permanent change of station. Due to the migration, LeaveWeb access through the portal will be down for 24 to 72 hours from the date of migration. Members may use the direct link to LeaveWeb, https://leave.Luke.af.mil, to schedule leave during the migration period. For more information, call the 56th Comptroller Squadron at (623) 856-7028.

 

AFSA meeting

The Air Force Sergeants Association Cactus Eagle Chapter 1260 will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Club Five Six Barcelona Room. For more information, go to www.afsachapter1260.weebly.com or call Master Sgt. Dustin Withrow at (623) 856-2985.

 

Load crew competition

The quarterly loading competition is 8 and 10 a.m. and noon July 13 in Bldg. 485. The competition pits the best load crews from the five aircraft maintenance units against each other in a side-by-side loading competition evaluated by weapons standardization personnel. The competition is open to the Luke Air Force Base community. For more information, call Tech. Sgt. Travis George at (623) 856-6791.

 

Scholarships

The Luke Enlisted Spouses Club is now accepting applications for two $500 scholarships for spouses of active-duty or deceased members. To get an application, go to the education center, Airmen & Family Readiness Center, or library, or download one at www.lukeafbesc.com. Applications must be received by July 31. Skin cancer screenings 

Skin cancer screenings are being offered at Luke Outpatient Clinic 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 18 and 25 in the Luke Air Force Base Family Health Clinic. To sign up, or for more information, call (623) 856-2773. Screenings are open to those members assigned to a primary care manager at the Luke outpatient clinic, who are over 18 with no prior history of skin cancer.

 

Road closure

Northern Avenue will be closed from 9 p.m. today through 5 a.m. Monday from west of Reems Road to Litchfield Road to accommodate new pipe culvert installation. During this time, Reems Road and Litchfield Road will remain open. Access to Falcon Dunes Golf Course will be maintained via Reems Road. For more information, call (480) 350-9288.

 

National anthem singers

The 56th Fighter Wing Protocol office is holding auditions by appointment only for active-duty members, Reserve and civilians to sing the national anthem at base functions. For more information, call (623) 856-5605.
