Street Beat – July 13, 2012

The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents June 29 through July 5:

 

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for 13 moving and five nonmoving violations.

 

Traffic-related incidents

June 29: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Bldg. 1514. There were no injuries.

June 29: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Bldg. 897. There were no injuries.

 

Emergency responses

July 2: Security forces responded to a 911 call in housing. An individual said someone had stolen the house keys. Patrols responded with negative findings.

July 4: Security forces responded to a 911 call in housing. An individual said people were trying to break into the residence. Patrols responded, conducted a sweep with negative findings.

 

Nonemergency responses

July 2: Security forces responded to a warrant hit at Bldg. 897. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office took control.

July 2: Security forces responded to a report of shoplifting at Bldg. 1540 involving a civilian juvenile. Glendale police took control.

July 3: Security forces responded to a report of two individuals taking unauthorized photography on the flightline access road. Patrols briefed the individuals on proper procedures and deleted the photos.

July 3: Security forces responded to a report of a door being left open at the lodging facility. Patrols responded and conducted a sweep with negative findings. The door was secured.

July 4: Security forces responded to a noise complaint in housing. Patrols responded and briefed an individual on base quiet hours.

 

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to three alarm activations on base.

 

Tip of the week

All active-duty, Reserve and Guard personnel who operate motorcycles must possess a driver’s license with motorcycle endorsement or a valid permit and possess proof of successful completion of an experienced rider course sponsored by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. Motorcycle operators will not be allowed to drive on the installation without these items.
