Justice Report – July 27, 2012

The following is a list of Articles 15 and administrative actions issued at Luke Air Force Base in June:

 

Courts-martial

  • A senior airman was found guilty of Article 92, failure to obey general regulation by wrongful use of bath salts, two specifications of Article 112a, wrongful use of a controlled substance and Article 128, assault. The member received a sentence of confinement for three months and reduction to E-1.

 

Article 15s

56th Maintenance Group

  • A staff sergeant received an Article 15 for dereliction of duty. The member received suspended forfeiture of $1,497 pay for two months, 14 days extra duty and a reprimand.
  • A senior airman received an Article 15 for failure to go. The member received a suspended reduction to E-3, forfeiture of $150 pay for two months with one month suspended and a reprimand.
  • A senior airman received an Article 15 for failure to go. The member received a reduction to E-3, suspended forfeiture of $990 pay for two months, 15 days extra duty and a reprimand.
  • A senior airman received an Article 15 for disrespect to an NCO, provoking speech, and drunk and disorderly on station. The member received a reduction to E-3, suspended forfeiture of $934 pay for two months and a reprimand.

 

56th Mission Support Group

  • A senior airman received an Article 15 for drunk driving and damage of military property. The member received a reduction to E-3, suspended reduction to E-2, suspended forfeiture of $835 pay for two months and a reprimand.

 
Article 15 punishments for similar offenses may vary from case to case based on the circumstances of the offense and such factors as an offender’s age, military and disciplinary record, financial condition and suitability for continued service. Administrative demotions are based on the member’s entire military record and ability to overcome their deficiencies. To ensure fair administration of justice throughout the Luke community, the legal office reviews all cases.
