The 56th Security Forces Squadron handled the following incidents July 13 through 19:

 

Tickets

Security forces issued citations for six moving and two nonmoving violations.

 

Traffic-related incidents

July 17: Security forces responded to a report of a minor vehicle accident at Bldg. 1130. There were no injuries.

 

Emergency responses

July 13: A security forces K-9 team responded to a report of a bomb threat in Avondale and conducted searches. The response was terminated with negative findings.

 

Nonemergency responses

July 18: Security forces responded to a report of an assault involving two civilians at Bldg. 945. Glendale police responded and took control.

July 18: Security forces responded to a report of a door at a residence being left open in housing. Patrols responded, conducted a search with negative findings.

July 19: Security forces responded to a report of an individual lying down in the search pit at Lightning Gate. Patrols responded, made contact with the civilian who had no base affiliation. The individual was escorted off the installation.

July 19: Security forces responded to a DUI report at Lightning Gate. An active-duty member was charged with Article 111, drunken or reckless operation of vehicle.

 

Alarm activations

Security forces responded to one alarm activation on base.

 

Tip of the week

While on the installation in a vehicle and reveille or retreat sounds, pull the vehicle to the side of the road and stop. All occupants should sit quietly at attention until the last note of the music has played.
